Our Birthday Celebration is Back!

It's hard to believe that Michelle and I have been in business for seven years! Seven years ago Michelle talked me into attending our first craft fair in Cocolalla. Seven years ago we hosted our first booth selling crochet items,, pomples, and jewelry. Seven years ago we started on this cray journey! Just look at our booth back then!

Our first booth at our first craft fair

Michelle Durst sitting at our first booth at our first craft fair.

Yup, that event, that little booth started it all. From there, we exploded into the crafting and gaming world. We started taking special orders, people were wondering where we would be next, and we began setting up our business plan.  From creating a website to an ecommerce store, we began the process of expanding, exploring, and traveling. Now we host over 20 booths a year, take online sales and special orders, and travel around the Northwest to Comicons and other exciting events!

We want to take a moment here and thank everyone who purchases our products and supports our crazy dream. We know this isn't possible without all of you!

At this time every year, we like to celebrate you and our business birthday with a party at our annual Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market Booth! This booth features all our standard items many of you love!

Some of the items we will have at our booth will be:

Crochet toys!

Fun and elegant earrings!

Mystery Loot Dice bags and RPG dice!

Fandom keychains from anime, movies, tv shows and more!

Along with our unique products, we will also be featuring some freebies and a giveaway!  That means there is even more fun to have!

This is our birthday event, and what is a birthday event without SWAG! On March 29, from 10am - 3pm, the first 50 people to come and say hi to us geeky girls, will receive a wearable sprout! These little sprouts come on a little alligator clip so that they can be attached to straps, shirts, or worn in the hair! We have several different styles!

Because SKGaleana.com is our sister blog, we will be hosting a fun giveaway featuring the complete first season of The Smurfs on DVD! Come place your name in the box and find out if you win at 2:30pm on March 29, 2025! You must be present to win!

We will also be giving surprise discounts to shoppers! Random purchases will receive a discount off their order! You never know when it will happen, but we will announce it if you are a random winner!

We hope to see everyone at the Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market on March 29, 2025 from 10am to 3pm. We will be inside the Rathdrum Lions Club having a little party to celebrate Cutoff Crafts' 7th birthday! Grab a party sprout, shop some cool items, enter the giveaway, and see if you are a lucky discount winner!

Each CCBB will contain one Evolving Skies Booster pack, which gives you that chance to find that chase card, Moonbreon.

Please note: the booster packs are random with random cards, we are unable to tell you what is in each pack because they have not been opened. It’s a mystery until you purchase and open them for yourself.

The Pokémon tin includes:

  • 1 Random Japanese Booster Pack
  • 6 Random Pokémon Booster Packs
  • 1 2022 Trick or Trade Booster Pack
  • 1 2023 Trick or Trade Booster Pack

Come Celebrate Spokane’s Lunar New Year 2025 - Year of the Wood Snake!

Cutoff Crafts is thrilled to return to Spokane’s Lunar New Year for 2025! The spectacular event is hosted by the wonderful people of Spokane’s United We Stand at the Spokane Convention Center. The doors open at noon and the event is entirely free to attend.

United We Stand will be handing out more than 5,000 Red Envelopes at the event with over $20,000 in prizes inside. These envelopes are known as “hong bao” and symbolize good fortune in the new year. The first 500 attendees will also receive swag bags.

Cutoff Crafts will also be handing out Red Envelopes to the first 100 customers who spend $20 or more on our wonderful merchandise. Each Red Envelope wishes the person luck for the new year and includes a real coin from many countries including: China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and more!

My absolute favorite thing to see is always the Dragon and Lion Dancers. The Dragon Dance winds its way through the entire venue to the beat of the pounding drums. The dancers wield their poles with skill making the dragon look like it is a powerful, soaring, beast that chases away the evil spirits to protect the new year.

The Lion Dancers are teams of two that cavort and perform more acrobatically. They are very playful and fierce. Often the Lion Dancers perform with the Third Prince. Last year, Cutoff Crafts was very fortunate to have the Lion Dancers perform directly in front of our booth at the end of the show.

There are activities on the main stage planned all day long. It is an absolute avalanche of incredible cultural displays. I am looking forward to hearing the Taiko Drummers and seeing the Hanfu Fashion Show.

The Spokane Lunar New Year Celebration will end with a marvelous fireworks display at 7:00 p.m.

We hope to see you there!
